Camping

Camping Reservations are suggested for camping during the busy season, particularly for Friday and Saturday nights from Easter through Thanksgiving. All campsites may be reserved up to 7 months in advance or as late as 48 hours prior to arrival. You may charge your reservation on VISA or MasterCard. To make reservations, call Reserve America toll-free 1-800-444-7275 or visit them at www.reserveamerica.com

Below is a list of the many different types of camping experiences available:

Family Campsites

Each campsite has a picnic table and fire ring. Piped drinking water and wheelchair accessible restrooms are nearby. There are no hookups at any of the campgrounds. Contact Reserve America for trailer length restrictions. There are two trailer sanitation stations at Cuyamaca Rancho SP. Hot showers are available in the restrooms for .25 cents per two minutes, so bring your quarters.

Group Camping

There are group camps at both parks. They have piped drinking water and wheelchair accessible restrooms with hot showers. Recreational vehicles are permitted, but count as two vehicles.  The group site at Cuyamaca Rancho State Park (Paso Picacho Campground) is currently closed.

Group Equestrian

Los Vaqueros Campground at Cuyamaca Rancho SP will accommodate up to 80 people and 45 horses in corrals. There are tables, water and restrooms with hot showers.

Family Equestrian

You can make reservations at the Green Valley Horse Camp by contacting Reserve America at www.reserveamerica.com or 1-800-444-7275.

Trail Camping

Primitive trail camps are located at Arroyo Seco (Arroyo Seco is currently closed) and Granite Springs in Cuyamaca Rancho SP. Each of these areas has three family campsites that can accommodate up to 8 people and one site for up to 16 people. Pit toilets are provided and spring water is available seasonally. Please bring something to purify the water as it is not treated. Granite Springs is now on our Reservation system. Please contact Reserve America at 800-444-7275 or www.reserveamerica.com

Cabins

Next time when you camp at Cuyamaca, try camping in one of our 12’ x 12’ cabins. They hold up to four people, but you must bring your own bedding and mattress pads. There are no utilities in the cabins, but each has full size bunk beds, a wood stove, picnic table, BBQ, and fire ring. There is also space for a small tent, and restrooms with pay showers are near each site.
